I was a Controls system Crew Chief on a B61 Matador launch crew with the 11th TMS, "C" Flight in Sembach from 1955 thru 1958. Winter in Tripoli was the best part of the tour.

I was stationed right out of basic at Sembach 3/60 to 10/63 in 38th Mat Sq. Retired as O-3 1982. Met my wife in Germany. Still married. We return to visit every few years. Those were good old days.

i was at sembach from '73-'75 as pianist/keyboardist for the USAFE band. the best time of my life. spent many a deutschemark at "Werner's Henninger Stube" just outside the base.i was also the youngest and lowest-ranking (E-4) member ever of the NCO club board of directors. Ron Ellis was the mgr. at the time, just a great guy. i lived in the barracks next to the mess hall, ate lunch most of the time at the little bratwurst stand behind the club, near the post office. if i could go back and re-live any period in my life, it would be my time in wiesbaden and sembach. "Ein Prosit Der Gemuchtlichkeit" to all my fellow sembach veterans. wiedersehen!!!!

I was a PME Instructor from 1982 - 1985. Supervisor was MSgt. Ray Sahm. This was the best job and time I had while in the Air Force.

I was stationed at Sembach for a short time.....1964 to April 1965 with the 38th Air Police Sq. Had a great time. Wish I could remember my Flight Chief's name...it was a French Canadian name. I hung around with a Paul "Pablo" Cruz among others. I hope to go back for a visit in March. Anyone there during this time please say hi.

Just found this website and saw former football teammate's comments. I played with Willi Caston, Charley Parker, Bill Manning and good bud Dennis O'Conner from 68-72. I played running back and was #44. I also had the opportunity to play basketball with Mike Linden, Del Hicks and Eric Haygood. Retired in 1988 and currently work at Lackland AFB.

I was stationed at Sembach with the 2nd Mobil Communications Group between 1971 and 1973. The 2MOB was then redeployed to Lindsey Air Station in Frankfurt. I have yet to discover any old friends from 2MOB and it is my belief that unit was decommissioned. I loved Sembach and KTown and Ramstein and the races on the flight line and touring the countryside especially Rudesheim and castles on the Rhine River. My wife and I moved off base to the small town of Mehlingen. If any of this information "connects" with anyone please send me an e-mail. I'd love to revisit what in my mind were the glory years of my youth.

Was at Sembach from January 1968 to May 1971. Assigned to the 601st Supply Sq. Played on the base football team #72 in 70 and 71 with Charlie Parker, Bracy Bullock, Wilson Handy. Great time time watching Hicks play basketball. Retired CMSgt in 1991.

My dad was stationed theere 61-64, Capt. Don Neumann, I don't know what he did other than sign the DB and place a bar in K-town off limits in 63. He also was NRA safe hunting instructor and maybe a softball coach. I have great momories of our time at Sembach. Mom taught K-garten 62-64

I served as the base firing range instructor from Nov 1962 to Nov 1966. All you guys stationed there during this time frame came down to our little shack at the east end of the runway for marksmanship qualification. I was a member of the base pistol team. I also coached AYA teens in small bore rifle marksmanship in the rod & gun indoor range. Those kids took first place in the 1965 USAFE junior rifle competition. Lived in Mehlingen, Vogelweh, and base housing. My tour at Sembach was so great, I extended a year.
