I would like to extend my greetings to everyone in Turkey, half a world away from me! I am currently writing a book about the Trojan War... WAIT... Really, it`s not what you think! I am doing something unique; I am actually focusing on the Trojans, Prince Hektor in particular. I have read many books and researched hundreds of hours and have come up with very little pertaining the Trojan side of the war.
My book opens in the fifth year of the war and includes flashbacks revealing Prince Hektor's childhood. I am telling the story from the Trojan perspective throughout the war to it's tragic ending. Though there are no existing remnants... to my knowledge... about the life of Hektor, I believe from what I could obtain, his beliefs and morals would be much the same as the Turkish people are today. I hear wonderful things about people in your country, especially the friendly welcome and the smiling faces of you folks!
If anyone has anything about their amazing culture they would be generous enough to share with me, I would be eternally grateful. I am glad I became interested in learning about the Trojan War, because now I am blessed with knowledge about an incredible country and people...Turkey.
