I went through school at Orlando in 65/65 for Mace B GSC. SSgt Knolle was the instructor who turned an 18 year old knucklehead into a serious student of inertial navigation and set me on my AF Career path.
I had a great time in Orlando and the Mace folks wee as fine a group as I ever saw in 35 years in the AF. Guy Vanderman Col, USAF, Ret.

I was at stationed at Orlando as permanent party with the 4504th Support Squadron from Dec 1959 to Aug 1961. Worked in the special vehicle hanger mostly on the MM1, but went to the cape as vehicle maintenance with several launch crews. My buddy Tom Shaffer form missile maintenance and I saw all of central Florida from a black BMW motorcycle.

I WAS IN THE GRAPHICS SHOP AT ORLANDO FROM 1962 TO 1966. ONE OF THE PROJECTS I DID WAS TO PAINT A COLOR PORTRAIT OF THE FLAG RAISING AT IWO JIMA FOR THE THEN NEW MARINE CORPS HALL IN ORLANDO. I WONDER IF IT'S STILL THERE.
I was not stationed at Orlando AFB, but instead was an SP at Maxwell AFB, AL (Air University). I was wondering if anyone has any pictures of APs or SPs from any AFB or AFS.
Thanks, Philip "J.P." Brown Sergeant (E-4), 1975-79 3800th SPS, Maxwell AFB

I arrived from Lowry on 9 Nov 1961 for launch crew msl training on crew no. 62-5 as tech 3 (mechanic). Had a good time there long before it turned the area into Disney World.
Departed Orlando on about 3 Apr 1962 headed for Bitburg, Germany until discharge in Feb 1965.
